There are up-to-date frontrunners halfway through Massachusetts, but the 2024 Disc Golf Pro Tour – MVP Open presented by OTB is far from over.
Both divisions were tied three ways after the first pass through beloved Maple Hill, with the field right behind them. There's been a bit of a split at the FPO, which doesn't mean much in corpsester, but the MPO is still lagging behind the two up-to-date co-chairs.

Kristin Tattar dropped an 8-under round – tied with Holyn Handley for the best of the day – to take a three-shot lead through two rounds of the four-round DGPT playoff event, the last of the 2024 season.
Tattar remained bogey-free and took a three-place lead. She was one shot behind after the first round, which ended with a three-way tie. Missy Gannon is still bogey-free at Maple Hill and sits alone in second place with a total of 8 under. Ohn Scoggins and Natalie Ryan will round out the top card at 7-under.
Handley leads the chase card at 6 under after her standout day, which included 18 of 19 fairway hits, and has climbed 12 spots with her 1,030 round.
There is still no absolute leader in the MPO, but the names at the top are different.
Aaron Gossage posted a 10-under round to move up five places while sharing the lead with Ricky Wysocki, who jumped three places. They are at 15 under overall and a one shot ahead of Corey Ellis, who had the hottest round of the day at 11 under – a day with a score of 1084.
Ezra Robinson retained his top spot with a 5-under round. He is tied with Gannon Buhr for fourth place, just two shots off the lead.
With 36 holes to go, eight players are only four shots away from the up-to-date leader.
