- FPO2 feature card: Ella Hansen, Eveliina Salonen, Kat Mertsch and Natalie Ryan

Here’s a look at the main storylines from this weekend:
1️⃣ Kristin Tattar aims for third GMC victory in a row
Kristin Tattar returns to the venue where she won the 2023 World Championship and also took the 2022 GMC title. Her 1013-point win at last year's Worlds was the highest-rated 5+ round FPO Major, and she enters the event as the leader in FPO wins in 2024 with five M/ES victories. Despite a recent three-event drought, Tattar remains the top-ranked player and is the favorite to extend her dominance at Smugglers' Notch.
2️⃣ Holyn Handley leads the DGPT rankings
Holyn Handley is having a stellar season, leading the DGPT standings with three Elite Series wins, her first of her career. Handley is the first FPO player since 2012 to win her first three Major/Elite Series events in a single season. After finishing 3rd in those spots at Worlds 2023, she will look to continue her rise with a mighty performance at GMC.
3️⃣ Eveliina Salonen returns after World Championship victory
Eveliina Salonen, the newly crowned World Champion, returns to competitive racing after missing DGLO. Salonen has four M/ES wins in 2024 and has not finished in the top five since April. She will be looking to add another win to her impressive season with a 4th place finish at the 2023 World Championships in Smugglers' Notch.
The 2024 Green Mountain Championship promises another exhilarating battle in the FPO division, with the top contenders looking to make an impression in Smugglers' Notch.
MPO FORECAST
- MPO1 Feature Card: Gannon Buhr, Ricky Wysocki, Calvin Heimburg and Niklas Anttila
- MPO2 Feature Card: Isaac Robinson, Ezra Robinson, Anthony Barela, Paul McBeth
Note: In DGPT playoff events, feature cards are determined based on World Points standings. The first feature card is the top 4 players in the leaderboard. The second feature card is the players ranked 5th through 8th in the leaderboard.
Here’s a look at the main storylines from this weekend:
1️⃣ Gannon Buhr chases history
Gannon Buhr heads into the 2024 GMC with six Major/Elite Series wins, the most in the MPO this season. Buhr has won five of six four-round events this year and recently posted a career-high 1,087 rated event wins at The Innova Rip (a DGPT Q-series). He is the player with the most MPO M/ES top 10 finishes in a season (19) and is close to setting a recent record with a 20th place finish at GMC. With his consistent form and previous success at Smugglers' Notch, Buhr is the player to beat.
2️⃣ Ricky Wysocki’s Smuggs dominance
Ricky Wysocki has an excellent track record at GMC with five wins and eight podiums in nine starts. Additionally, Wysocki nearly passed Buhr on the final round of DGLO but finished second two weeks ago. He leads MPO with 10 podiums this season and remains a top contender at Smuggs, where he has won more times than any other player. With his track record at these courses, Wysocki will look to add a sixth title to his collection.
3️⃣ Isaac Robinson's return to the site of his world title
Isaac Robinson returns to Smugglers' Notch, where he captured his first World Championship title in 2023. Since then, Robinson has finished second to Buhr at consecutive events, including DGLO and The Innova Rip. His top-two finishes in both of his Vermont appearances (1st at Worlds 2023, 2nd at GMC 2022) make him a mighty candidate to challenge for the title again this year.
